Scheuerman, Mary (19 Jan 1920 - 18 Augl 2002)
Mary Scheuerman, 82, Neillsville, formerly of Greenwood, died on Sunday, Aug. 18, 2002, at Memorial Medical Center, Neillsville. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to an 11 a.m. funeral service on Thursday, Aug. 22, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood. The Rev. Michael Kennedy will officiate. Burial will be in the Greenwood City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be George Kitchen, Greg Petkovsek, Scott Petkovsek, Pat Scheuerman, Rob Scheuerman and Roy Rasmussen.
Mary Krze was born on Jan. 19, 1920, in North Chicago, Ill., to Cyril and Agnes (nee Mazovec) Krze. When she was a young girl, she moved with her family to Willard, where she was raised on a farm and educated at Kippenhan School. She married Lawrence Scheuerman on Jun 27, 1941, in Dubuque, Iowa. They farmed in the town of Warner until 1965, when they sold the farm and moved to a home along the Black River northwest of Greenwood. She then went to work at Stewart’s Redville Dairy for several years. She later worked at Memorial Nursing Home, Neillsville, until she retired. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ. Her interests included gardening, cooking, baking and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence, Neillsville; three children, Alice Petkovsek, Marshfield, Richard (Sue) Scheuerman, Hendersonville, N.C., and Carol (George) Kitchen, El Paso, Texas; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister, Julia Rasmussen, Eau Claire; and one daughter-in-law, Nancy Scheuerman, Greenwood.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one son, Robert Scheuerman in April 1990; one son-in-law, Edward Petkovsek in December 1984; and one sister, Agnes Boe.
Cuddie Funeral Home, Greenwood, assisted the family with arrangements.
