Walters, Marie E. (Marriage - 24 Nov 1909)
Mr. George Larsen and Miss Marie Ellen Walters were quietly married by Rev. N.F. Chapman Wednesday evening, Nov. 24, 1909. The bride, who is the daughter of Mrs. C.E. Walters, an old resident of Neillsville, Clark County, was born here and is well known to all. She graduated from our school and for some time taught successfully in different schools of the county.
Her good common sense, kindness of heart and agreeable manner have won for her many friends while her devotion to her home and helpfulness to her mother are proof of her worth as a woman.
The groom is a quiet, unassuming intelligent young man and those who know him speak of him as possessing sterling qualities. Although an engineer by trade, he was reared on a farm and has had quite a little experience in that line of work. He has a good claim in North Dakota, which he still holds.
For the present, at least, they will reside with the bride’s mother at the beautiful farm home just east of the city.
