Pexsa, Emma (Marriage - 30 Augl 1910)
A quiet home wedding took place Tuesday evening Aug. 30, 1910, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. West, in the town of Grant, Clark County, when their son, William B. West and Miss Emma Pexsa of Alexandria, Minn., were united in marriage. The ceremony was performed by Rev. N.F. Chapman. The bride and groom were attended by Miss Mabel Brown and Mr. Reuben King. After the ceremony a fine wedding supper was served.
The groom was brought up in the town of Grant, finished the country school course, and graduated from Neillsville High School in 1904. He went to North Dakota, where he took a claim, which he developed and still owns, but has decided to make Clark County his permanent home, having bought the Nelson Waterman farm. He is a thorough young farmer, having had a wide practical experience, besides taking the Short Course in Agriculture at Madison. The bride is practically a stranger here, but made a good impression with all whom she met. Her sister, Miss Nellie Pexsa of St. Paul, is here with her. The young people will begin housekeeping at once. It is an encouraging sign for Clark County that young people of this class decide to remain and make a home here. We wish them success.
