Kimball, Elmer A. (1 Feb 1870 - 29 Oct 1909)
Elmer A. Kimball died at Hibbing, Minn., Oct. 29, 1909, after a short illness from typhoid fever, complicated with diphtheria. The remains were brought to Neillsville, Clark County for burial, the funeral taking place at the Youman’s residence Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Chapman officiating.
Deceased was a son of the late J.A. Kimball. He was born on the farm west of Neillsville, Feb. 1, 1870, came with the family to the city, attended school here and worked at various occupations for the past five or six years, being on the railroad much of the time. Previous to his death he was running a locomotive at the mines at Hibbing.
Elmer was naturally quiet, gentlemanly and good hearted, and his death just in the prime of life, takes from the world one whose years of usefulness seemed but beginning. He leaves three sisters, Mrs. W. Scott Davis, and Misses Emma and Gertrude Kimball, to whom is extended a community’s sympathy.
