News was received here Monday that Scott Colburn had died quite suddenly Sunday at his home in Ellsworth. The funeral was held there Tuesday and the remains brought here (Neillsville, Clark County) Wednesday for burial. Mr. Colburn was for several years prominent in the business and social affairs of Neillsville, operating the grist mill. He left here about twenty-two years ago, going to Minnesota, later coming back to Pierce Co. His wife survives him, is a cousin of Mrs. Jane Gates and of the late James Hewett. The older residents here will remember the deceased and his wife very well. They were planning a visit here in the near future, not having been here in many years.
