Winchester, Cordelia (1818 - 6 Mar 1910)
Mrs. Cordelia Hammond Winchester died Sunday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Frank Long, aged 92 years and some moths, being one of the oldest persons in this county. She was born in Pennsylvania. On moving to Wisconsin she became a resident of Reedsburg, where she lived many years. Her husband, who was a Civil War veteran died about 32 years ago. Some years since she came to Merrillan to live with a son, and two years ago she came here (Neillsville, Clark County) to make her home with Mrs. Long. She joined the Baptist Church when twenty years old and has been a consistent member through all the years since.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. H.A. Risser officiating. The remains were taken to Reedsburg for burial.
