Quinlan, John J. (? - 8 Apr 1910)
This community was greatly shocked to learn of the sudden death of John J. Quinlan at the hospital and Fond du Lac last Friday. Mrs. Quinlan, whose maiden name was Clara Wiesner, is well known to a very wide circle of acquaintances here. She came up from her home at Sheboygan last week Monday to visit her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Wiesner. Wednesday she received word that her husband had gone to the hospital for an operation for appendicitis. She made haste to return next day. The operation was found to be too late, the patient dying Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Quinlan were married here (Neillsville, Clark County) Oct. 28, 1908. During his visits here he made the acquaintance of many Neillsville people who held him in the highest esteem. This death is peculiarly sad, as it leaves the young wife with the care of two little girls, twin babies only a few months old, her home broken up, and the plans of life destroyed. On every hand are heard words of sympathy for her. Deceased leaves also a mother and brother. The funeral was held and Fond du Lac Tuesday.
