Gladys Myrtle Mills, the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Mills of Christie, passed away Dec. 26, 1910, at 9:45 a.m., after an illness of two weeks. The cause of the little one’s death was spinal meningitis, measles contributory.
The little one came to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mills Jun 17, 1908. She was adored by all who knew her, because of her winsome smile and affectionate disposition.
Mr. and Mrs. Mills have one child remaining, a little boy aged our and one-half years. The deceased, at the time of her death, was two years, six months and nine days of age. The death of the little one has cuased a vacancy in the home that can never be filled. Doctors or the help of loving hands were of no avail. The funeral was held at the M.E. Church in Christie, Wednesday Dec. 28, at 2 p.m., Rev. Marsh of Greenwood officiating. The burial took place at the Christie Cemetery.
