LUTHERANS AND GERMANS WILL BUILD
John Schwarze and Theo. Meinholdt have bee canvassing through the country, getting subscriptions for the erection of a new German Reformed church, to be built this summer just east of the old one on the West Side. Saturday they had $3800 subscribed, but we leaned since that the amount now exceeds $4200. They also want to build a new school house but it is not definitely known, as yet, whether they will succeed in raising sufficient funds.
The Lutherans are also expecting to erect a church this coming summer, on their lot on Simon Johnson's corner. Sand is already being hauled and rock quarried.
