J.V. STURNER was at Shell Lake on a fishing trip the first part of the week.

Mr. and Mrs. Elroy JACOBSON and children of Thorp were guests of the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. JACOBSON, on Sunday.

Stanley LAW of Ashland is spending the week at the F.H. MATTHIAS home.

Clarence EMERSLUND of Eau Claire visited at the home of Mrs. L. THOMPSON and family on Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank KRAUT are attending the Minnesota State Fair at Minneapolis this week.

Miss Anna HANSON went to Owen to begin her work as teacher in the public schools on Tuesday.

The Midway Local A.S. of E. gave a community picnic at Jacobson's grove on Sunday. A big dinner was the main feature of the day as a shower sent the guests home early in the afternoon.
