Darling, Fanny (1834? - 9 May 1911)

Mrs. Abner Darling died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. Shummel Tuesday, May 9, aged 76 years. She was born in Pennsylvania, her maiden name being Fanny Fuller. She was married at Janesville, Wis., to Abner Darling in Sept. 1865. They made their home at Monroe until the spring of 1871, when they moved to Neillsville, Clark County, living on a small farm just east of town. Last winter they spent a few months at the Veterans Home. Since their return she has been at her daughter’s home. In younger days, Mrs. Darling was active in all good work, attending church and teaching in Sunday School, but as old age came on she has been able only to look after home duties. Besides her husband she leaves on the one daughter. The funeral will be held today (Thursday) at 1 o’clock at the Congregational Church.
