French, Sarah A. (Mar 1829 - 6 May 1911)
Mrs. H. B. French died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl Stange, May 6, 1911, aged 82 years and 2 months. Her death was due principally to old age. Deceased, whose maiden name was Sarah Abigail Seavey, was born in Farmington, Stratford, Co., N. H. She was married there to Henry B. French, April 11, 1854. They came to Monticello, Wis., and lived there till Oct. 1871, when they moved to Clark County, living on their farm south of Neillsville. For sever years past she has spent most of the time at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stange, who have cared for her kindly during her declining years. She was a woman who had a conscientious regard for rights of others and never knowingly wronged anyone, living up to her ideals of life as she saw them, faithfully.
She leaves an aged husband and two sons and two daughters: Mrs. Mary Jurney of New Richmond; Renaldo L. French of Pine Valley; Albert H. French of La Crosse and Mrs. Jennie Stange of Neillsville.
The funeral was held Tuesday, Rev. W. P. Burrows officiating. The family wish to thank all who have shown a friendly interest and helped them in the time of their bereavement.
