Skoda, Mary (10 Augl 1901 - 9 Mar 1912)
Mary Skoda died last Wednesday after an illness of about five days. She was born in Chicago Aug. 10th, 1901, and died March 6, 1912. She was 10 years, 6 months and 26 days old.
Mary was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mickel Skoda and her life of a few months, which had been spent in this locality was "Christ-Like", Mary was a lovable character, unselfish, unsparing love during her illness, and how this sweet tempered child will be missed in that devoted home. Mary suffered with appendicitis for some days. Those who now survive to mourn her loss are the father, Mother, one sister and three brothers. The funeral services were held at the Shortville, Clark County Presbyterian Church, Saturday morning at 10 o’clock, Rev. Herbert Nye officiating. The pall bearers were Misses B. Hall, E. Carter, C. Frantz and R. Moldenhauer.
The sympathy extended to her parents on every hand is heartfelt and of a character that breathes of a personal loss. The remains were laid at rest in the Neillsville Cemetery.
