Scheel, Clara (Marriage - 17 May 1911)
A very pretty wedding took place at the Globe, Clark County Church Wednesday May 17, 1911, the contracting parties being Miss Clara Scheel and Pastor Alexander B. Korn. At 3 o’clock the bridal party entered the church marching up to the altar to the strings of a wedding march played by Miss Nora Glasow. The bride was becomingly attired in cream colored voile. The couple was attended by Misses Elsie Scheel and Lizzie Hagedorn and Messrs. Theodore Korn and Louis Scheel. Rev. Brandt of Neillsville tied the nuptial knot, after which a large number of friends and relatives repaired to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Scheel, Sr., where a bounteous wedding supper awaited them.
The bride is one of Globe’s most popular and refined young ladies and well qualified to fulfill the duties that await her as a minister’s wife. The groom is an enterprising young minister of unusual ability.
Mr. and Mrs. Korn left for Burlington and Chicago for a brief wedding trip, before he going to their new home at Shickley, Neb., where Mr. Korn has a pastorate. We extend congratulations and best wishes to this happy young couple.
