Garrison, Mosman D. (? - 15 Sep 1913)
Mosman D. Garrison, cashier of the Thorp State Bank, and one of the leading young business men of that village, (Thorp, Clark County), met almost instant death by his automobile turning over on the road about three miles south of Withee Monday night. In the car with him were James Connor and Hixon Mead. The former had several ribs broken and the latter was but slightly hurt. It is not known exactly how the accident occurred, but it is reported that it was caused by the brake being applied too quickly. Mr. Garrison was the son of the Late L.O. Garrison who died suddenly a few months ago. His father’s death left the responsibility of a large mercantile and banking business on Mosman and he met the emergencies of affairs with rare skill and efficiency. No sadder accident has ever occurred in this county. Besides his mother so lately bereaved, he leaves a young wife and child. His wife is a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W.R. McCutcheon, who are now absent on a visit to Ireland, thus leaving her without aid and comfort in the hour of sorrow. The keenest sympathy is felt by many people in this city for the bereaved young wife and mother of the deceased.
