Cassady, Anastasia (22 Jan 1844 - 1 Nov 1913)
Mrs. Anastasia Cassady died at her home in Weston, Clark County, Nov. 1, 1913.
Mrs. Cassady had been sick only a few days and no one thought it serious. Neither her relatives nor the doctor in attendance considered the case at all dangerous, until Saturday afternoon when her heart gave away and at 8:30 o’clock Saturday night, she breather her last on earth.
Mrs. Cassady was born in Canada Jan. 22, 1844; when a young woman she was married to Bernard Cassady and came to Wisconsin about 30 years ago and settled on a farm here, where they lived up to the time of her death. Mr. Cassady died 4 years ago. Mrs. Cassady had a circle of good and true friends who loved and respected her for real worth. Her manner was quiet and unobtrusive. She never knowingly wronged anyone, and died as she lived without an enemy. She was a firm believer of the Catholic Church. She professed her faith and better still, lived according to her profession. She leaves to mourn her loss two children, Edward and Mrs. Wm. La Fleur of the town of Weston, 4 grandchildren and two brothers, Richard Redmond of Weston and Jas. Redmond of Maine. The funeral services were held Wednesday morning at ten o’clock at St. Mary’s Church in Neillsville, Rev. Dorrenbach officiating.
