Chandler, William J. (29 Oct 1845 - 21 May 1914)
Wm. J. Chandler died at his home on the North Side May 21st, 1914, after a long period of ill health. He was born at Ottawa, Wis., Oct. 29, 1845. He enlisted in Co. F. 1st Wis. Cavalry and served through the Civil War, having a most adventurous career. After the war he came to Black River Falls and engaged in farming, and some years ago moved to Clark County and engaged in selling fruit trees.
He leaves a wife and one son, who lives at Duluth. The funeral was held at the home Saturday, Rev. H.A. Risser officiating.
