Cornwell, Adelbert (4 Sep 1858 - 18 Jun 1914)
Adelbert Cornwell died very suddenly at his home in Bridger, Mont. Jun 18, 1914, death being due to heart trouble. Funeral services were held there and the remains brought back here for burial, services being held here also at the M.E. Church Thursday.
He was born at Theresa, Jefferson Co., N.Y. Sept. 4, 1858, and came west with his parent in March 1866, living with them on the farm in Pine Valley, Clark County. He was married to Alice Hubbard in May 1881. Mr. Cornwell followed railroading and for many years was a passenger conductor on the Northern Pacific on the division extending from Bridger to Billings, Mont., which position he held at the time of his death. He was a man of high character, and stood well as a citizen and with the company for whom he worked.
He leaves to mourn his death his aged mother Mrs. A.E. Cornwell, his wife and one daughter, Mrs. Peter Steicker of Logan, Mont.; two sisters, Mrs. E.J. Spooner of Lents, Oregon and Mrs. Harry Ferguson of Minneapolis; and one brother, Leland, of this city; besides many friends in the west and hwere, where there are many friends of his boyhood and youth.
