Nineteen years ago he moved to Clark County and lived about 9 years on a farm in the town of Washburn. Selling out there he bought a farm near Augusta in Eau Claire Co., where he resided till the time of his death.
He was married in Vernon Co. to Margaret Lowery, who survives him. He leaves six children: Mrs. C.C. Carpenter, Mrs. Geo. Stiegelman, Mrs. Otto Stubbe, William and Avery, and Pearl, who lived at home.
