Ward, Nellie (Marriage - 8 Apr 1913)
Mr. Roy Leland Kayhart and Miss Nellie Blanche Ward were united in marriage Tuesday forenoon, April 8, 1913, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Swann in this city, Rev. Prescott performing the ceremony.
The bridegroom was born and brought up in the town of Weston, Clark County, being the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Kayhart, one of Weston’s best known and respected families, and is himself a young man of high character, exceptional good business ability and a thoroughly good farmer.
The bride has only a limited acquaintance here; her parents are dead and she has made her home with relatives at Antigo and Milwaukee. She is a young lady of charming appearance and by all who know her is reported to be possessed of high womanly qualities.
The wedding was entirely a quiet one. A sort of mutual acquaintance existed between Mr. and Mrs. Swann and the bride because of inter-marriage of relatives of the two families, and the hospitality of their home was opened to the young couple for the marriage ceremony.
They took the 11:30 train for Madison, and will visit Chicago, Milwaukee, Antigo and other points before returning home. They will not be fully settled till Sept. 1st, as the groom has some building to complete on his farm residence in Weston.
We join in wishing them the utmost success and happiness in life.
***Methodist Church Records indicate the bride was 31 yrs. old and the groom was 34 yrs. old. The ceremony was performed by R. Prescott.
