Goebel, Bertha (Marriage - 29 Jul 1913)
Mr. Gustav D. Deutsch and Miss Bertha Goebel were married at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Goebel in the town of Grant, Clark County, Tuesday Jul 29, 1913, Rev. Reiff officiating. Judge O.W. Schoengarth acted as best man and the bride’s sister, Miss Clara Goebel, as bridesmaid. The wedding was a quiet one, only relatives and a few close friends being present.
The groom was born and brought up at Neillsville, graduated from our high school and taught successfully for some time. Later he took up store work. In this his honesty, willingness to be of ready service and his expert knowledge, especially in the clothing line, has given him the choice of good positions. At present he is employed in the Hill store at Friendship, in which community he has already acquired a good standing.
The bride is a young lady well fitted for the duties of life. She is a charming young lady and possesses a personal beauty, rare good sense and a pleasant disposition.
They leave for Friendship at once to begin home life there. We join in wishing them the best that home life can give.
