Sterling, Alma (Marriage - 3 Jan 1914)
Dr. Andrew P. Lien of Stanley and Mrs. Alma Sterling of Thorp, Clark County were married Saturday afternoon, Jan. 3, 1914, at the home of the bride’s sister, Mrs. Elmer Rossman, Rev. H.A. Risser officiating.
The groom was attended by Dr. O’Reilly of Merrill, his classmate at college, and the bride by the groom’s sister, Mrs. Mary Leins. Only relatives and a few personal friends were present. An exceptionally fine wedding supper was served at which Mrs. O.G. Bannister and Mrs. W.J. Rush assisted. The groom is a veterinary surgeon who has established a fine practice at Stanley and is a man of excellent standing in the community. The bride is a very successful teacher, for some time holding a position in the schools at Stanley. She is a daughter of Ex-superintendent A. O. Rhea. They will make their home at Stanley. We join in wishing them much happiness.
