Hall,Private John Louis ( 4 Feb. 1897 - 6 April 1918)
The remains of Private John Hall arrived home from over seas last week accompanied by Private W. F. Johnson of Ft. Snelling.
Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Pleasant Ridge church, Rev. W. T. Scott officiating, a detail of the American Legion Post attending to do military honors. John Louis Hall, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hall of the town of Grant was born Feb. 4, 1897. He grew up on the home farm in Grant, enlisted in Co.A, 128th Infantry A.E.F. July 6, 1917, and after a brief military training was sent to France where he died of disease April 6, 1918. Johnny Hall was a good boy and liked by all who knew him and it is fitting that his dust should mingle at last with his native soil in the Grant Cemetery, where he was laid at rest.
