Alt, Effie (Marriage 29 Dec. 1922)

Mr. Bernhardt H. Peterson of Brookings, S. Dak, and Miss Effie Alt of this city were married Thursday forenoon, December 29th, at the Methodist parsonage, Rev. W. T. Scott officiating. The groom is South Dakota state manager for the R. C. Barnum Publishing Co. The bride is the daughter of Mrs. Chas. Hudson and has lived here for the past fifteen years. For two years past she has taught in the city schools, a position she still fills with great credit. During her residence here she has made many friends in Neillsville and the country around. She is a lady of culture, scholarship and refinement; a teacher of rare ability and tireless in her devotion to her work.

They departed on the 11:30 A.M. train Thursday for a few days in Minneapolis.

Their home will be in Neillsville for the present.
