paper published notice of the death of Mrs. Dennis Buckley of
Everson, Wash., as follows: "On Sunday evening at the Sumas
Hospital in Sumas, Mrs. Maggie Buckley was called to the great
beyond, after an illness covering several weeks. Mrs. Buckley was a
woman of sterling qualities, always ready and willing to give help
in the time of need. She leaves to mourn her loss a husband and ten
children, nine boys and one girl, ranging from four months to
twenty years, all at the family home in the Northwood district.
Also father, mother, three brothers, two sisters at the old home in
Fairchild, Eau Claire Co., Wis., and one sister, Mrs. Will Tennant
of Northwood, besides a host of loving friends and neighbors. Mrs.
Buckley was born in Fairchild, Wis., March 23, 1882, at which place
she was married to Dennis Buckley in the year of 1898. Funeral
services were held at the Northwood Grange Hall Wednesday morning
at 10 o'clock, of which order she was a member, Rev. Dauaar of the
Baptist Church of Lynden officiating. Many beautiful floral pieces
attested to the loved she was borne. The Northwood school was
closed during the services. A large concourse of friends followed
the remains to their last resting place in the Lakeside Cemetery
