EISENHART LAFFE SCHUMACHER ----Source:
HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 07/23/1921 Eisenhart, Louisa
(18 Mar 1838 - 14 Jul 1921) Miss Louisa Rexter
was born in Germany March 18, 1838, growing to womanhood, and being
united in marriage to Mr. Jacob Eisenhart in her girlhood home, on
Oct. 16, 1865. About thirty-five years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Eisenhart
came to America with their family, settling first on a farm a mile
from Humbird, Clark County, Wis., and a short time later moving
into the village, which has since been their home. About ten years
ago Mrs. Eisenhart became totally blind, and the affliction came as
a double blow to her, fir it deprived her of one of her greatest
enjoyments, that of reading. But through the long years of darkness
she has been uncomplaining. For over two years she was confined to
her bed by the infirmities of old age. On Thursday, July 14, 1921,
she passed peacefully away, at the age of 83 years, 3 months and 16
days. Mrs. Eisenhart was the mother of eight children, three of
whom died in infancy. She is survived by her husband, two
daughters, Mrs. George Laffe of Humbird, and Mrs. John Schumacher
of Merrill; and three sons, Jacob of Garden Valley, Christ of North
Bend, and Henry of Milwaukee. Funeral services
were held at the Reformed Church on Sunday afternoon, and burial
was in the Mentor Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
