HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 01/21/1922 Crandell, Anna B.
(20 Feb 1837 - 14 Jan 1922) Anna Belle Hart
was born at Napanee, Ontario, Canada, Feb. 20, 1837, and departed
this life at Humbird, Clark County, Wis., Jan. 14, 1922, aged
nearly 84 years. In 1854, she was united in marriage to Chester
Crandell, and to this union were born eleven children, of whom
seven have preceded her to the world beyond. In 1878 the family
moved here, settling on a farm a quarter of a mile east of the
village, where she spent the greater part of her married life. They
sold the farm and moved into the village about twenty years ago. In
early life she gave her heart to God, and lived a consistent
Christian life, leaving the world better because of her having
lived in it. Her husband died eight years ago. Funeral services
were held Monday afternoon, prayer at the C. O. Bolling home, where
she was tenderly cared for during her last days, and sermon at the
Free Methodist Church by Rev. D. C. Elmer. Burial was in the Mentor
Cemetery. Deceased had been
a member of the Free Methodist Church for forty years. She leaves
to mourn her death four sons, George of Antigo, Albert of Watts,
Calif., Sanford of Bellingham, Wash., and John of Black River
Falls, and a large number of grandchildren, of whom Guy N. Crandell
of this village, is one. Numerous other relatives and a large
circle of friends mourn her death. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
