AUG 1843 - 11 Feb 1923) Levi Lowman was
born at Delphi, Indiana, on Aug. 16, 1843, and died at his home in
Cleveland, Jackson, Co., Wis., quite suddenly of heart failure, on
Sunday, Feb. 11, 1923, aged 79 years, 5 months and 26 days. At the age of
fifteen years he came with his parents to Richland Center, Wis.,
and a few years later they moved to Alma Center, where the years of
his young manhood were spent. On April 7, 1867, he was united in
marriage to bertha W. Murray of Alma Center, and about twenty-five
years ago took up their home on the farm in the town of Cleveland,
where they have since resided. Mr. Lowman was the
father of seven children, who with his faithful wife mourn his
death. The children are Wesley of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Fannie
Peterson, town of Cleveland, Mrs. Rose White and Mrs. Jennie Dunn
of Garden Valley, George of Tunnel City, John of Merrillan, and
Grover at home. Deceased was a man honest and upright in all ways,
of a kindly disposition and well liked by all who knew him. The funeral was
held at the home on Thursday of last week and burial was in the
