HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 01/05/1924 Billerbeck, Julia
(2 Jan 1859 - 29 Dec 1923) Julia Jahn was
born in La Crosse, Wis. Jan. 2, 1859. At the age of two years, with
her parents, she moved to Buffalo Co., Wis., where she grew to
womanhood. In 1877, she was united in marriage to Wm. Billerbeck,
moving to Garden Valley, Jackson Co. and settling on a farm, where
they lived until 1904, when she moved to Spokane, Wash. In 1919,
she moved to Enterprise, Oregon, where she resided until March 7,
1922, when she came east to visit her daughter, Mrs. Will Ringrose.
Being more improved in heath than she had been in the past three
years, she was persuaded to remain for an extended visit. She was in her
usual good health and spirits on Dec. 29th, and bidding the usual
goodnight, was preparing to retire at 8:30, when stricken with
apoplexy, passing away at 10 o'clock. She leaves her
husband, two sons, and two daughters, August and Mrs. Myrtle
Repplinger of Enterprise, Oregon, Frank of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho,
and Mrs. Will Ringrose of Garden Valley; one sister, Mrs. Mary Dunn
of La Crosse; and seven grandchildren. The funeral was
held Jan. 2nd, on her 65th birthday, at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Will Ringrose, Rev. Slack officiating. Interment was in the
Garden Valley Cemetery, near her mother and brother. She will be
sadly missed by those near and dear to her. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
