FEB 1859 - 18 OCT 1924) Andrew Bever, one
of the pioneers of this vicinity (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.),
passed away early Saturday morning, Oct. 18, 1924, after a long and
severe illness. The deceased was born on his home farm at Fairview
on the 16th of February 1859, and lived on the farm all his
life. On Nov. 25, 1884,
he was united in marriage with Miss Thresia Bergmann, who preceded
him in death April 19, 1907. Mr. Bever was
always a good neighbor and kind friend to all who knew him. He was
a devoted member of the Catholic Church, of which he was trustee
for twenty-five years. He leaves to mourn his death one brother,
John Bever of Foster; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Joseph Pflieger;
many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. The funeral was
held Monday forenoon at St. Joseph's Church, and was attended by a
large congregation of relatives, neighbors and friends. Burial was
in the family plot in the churchyard. Those from away
who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. John Bever and family of
Foster; John Bever and son Ed of Loyal; Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hagmann,
Andrew Pflieger of Eau Claire; Carl Hauser and son George from Alma
