WALSDORF PHILLIPPI MOORE SNYDER ----Source:
REPUBLIC (Stanley, Clark County, Wis.) 04/30/1914 David, Andrew (2
FEB 1855 - 27 Apr 1914) Andrew David
returned from the hospital at Marshfield on Friday evening last and
on Monday morning, April 27, 1914, died at his home here (Stanley,
Clark County, Wis.) Mr. David for a period of fourteen years has
been a patient sufferer with a sore leg, which of late has been
almost unbearable and he decided to have it operated on, which was
done but of no avail. He was born in Germany on Feb. 2, 1855, and
came to this country with his parents when but a child. He grew to
manhood at St. Anna, Calumet Co., and on July 22, 1880 was united
in marriage with Miss Margaret Walsdorf. On April 12, 1883 they
came to Stanley, first settling on a farm, but later Mr. David
again took up his work as wagon maker, in which line he was an
expert and has been employed at that work for many years at Hansen
& Sabrarowski's shops. He was a good man, honest, faithful,
kind and indulgent, and an exemplary citisen and friend. His death
is deeply deplored by a large circle of relatives and all who knew
him. He leaves a wife and three daughters, Mrs. John Phillippi of
this village, Mrs. Louis Moore of Downing, and Mrs. Lee J. Snyder,
also of this village, besides two brothers, Michael and Carl David
of st. Anna. The funeral took place yesterday morning from St.
Bernard's Catholic Church, Father Neises officiating, interment
following in the Catholic Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
