died at his home in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis. at an
early hour on Tuesday morning, June 30, 1914. Mr. GAURENT had been
ill for over a year and had undergone two operations for stomach
trouble and supposed cancer, but the primary cause of his demise
was no doubt a complication of several diseases, including heart
disease. He was a respected citisen of this town for many years and
the sympathy of all is extended to the bereaved widow and children.
Mr. GAURENT was born at Meadville, Pa. On Oct. 26, 1860, moving
from there to Texas with his parents, and came to Stanley nearly
thirty years ago. On Oct. 28, 1899 he was united in marriage with
Miss Margaret Oesau, who with six children, three sisters residing
at Meadville, Pa., three sisters residing at Bemidji, Minn., and
one brother of Stasko, Can., survive. The funeral will take place
at one o'clock this (Thursday) afternoon from the home and will be
conducted by the officers of Forest Queen Lodge No. 321, I.O.O.F.,
of which order deceased had been a member for many years, interment
