FEB 1845 - 15 Dec 1914) John HILLER, an
old and highly respected resident here (Stanley, Clark County,
Wis.), passed away on Tuesday Dec. 15, 1914, at the age of 69
years, 10 months and 10 days. His last illness was of short
duration, a general breakdown and advance age bringing on the end.
Mr. HILLER was a kind, honest and hard-working man, and a devoted
husband and father. He was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on
Feb. 5, 1845, where he grew to manhood, and on April 24, 1873 was
united in marriage with Miss Maria Lorens. Ten years later he came
to New Holstein, Calumet Co., where he resided four years, when he
came to Stanley, where he resided since. The funeral, which was
largely attended, was held from his home on Saturday afternoon
last, Rev. Schwertfiger officiating, interment taking place in the
town of Worden Cemetery. He leaves to mourn, his aged wife and
seven children, John HILLER of Sigourney, Iowa, Hans HILLER of
Stanley, Claude, Carl, Mary, Emma and Clara HILLER, who reside
