HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 01/28/1922 Roberts, Elizabeth
(12 Jan 1922) Last Thursday,
Jan. 12, 1922, the marriage of M. J. Monroe of this city, and Mrs.
Elizabeth Roberts, at her home in Fairchild, Eau Claire Co., Wis.,
in the presence of her brother's family, a few friends and
neighbors, Judge George J. Hoke tying the nuptial knot. Immediately
following the ceremony, the Highland Bell Ringers appeared and gave
the happy pair a real serenade. They took the
evening train for Augusta, where they and a few intimate friends
were given a wedding supper at the home of Mrs. Mae Newhouse, where
they have rented rooms and will make their home for the
present. Both the
contracting parties are well and favorably known in both Fairchild
and here and their many friends join in wishing them many years of
wedded bliss. (Augusta Eagle
