Stuve, Almira (17 FEB 1923)
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Helwig announce their marriage which took place on Feb. 17th, 1923, at Rockford, Ill. The service was read by the pastor of First Methodist Church at the parsonage. The announcement comes as a surprise to the Lodi friends of Mrs. Helwig, for she continued her teaching of English in the high school, still as Miss Almira Stuve. Her home is at Humbird, Clark County, Wis. She attended Eau Claire and Stevens Point Normal and the University of Wis. and has but one semester's work left to attain her degrees.
Mr. Helwig, who home is in Superior, received his Bachelor degree from the university in June of last year and his Master's Degree in February of this year. He is a member of the Alpha Zeta, honorary agricultural fraternity. They will make their home next year at South Wayne, where Mr. Helwig will be principal of the schools and where Mrs. Helwig will teach English. Mr. Helwig has been principal of the grade schools there this past semester. (Lodi Enterprise)
Mr. and Mrs. Helwig arrived here last Saturday to spend a time at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. H. Stuve, and receiving the belated congratulations of the friends of the bride in this vicinity.
