HUMBIRD ENTERPRISE (Humbird, Clark County, Wis.) 07/05/1924 Mayo, Adele E. (28
JUN 1924) At the M. E.
Parsonage at Fairchild, Eau Claire Co., Wis., on Saturday, June 28,
1924, at 3:00 p.m., occurred the wedding of Mr. Orin C. Funk, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. R. Funk, and Miss Adele Elvana, youngest
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Mayo. The impressive ring ceremony
was used, the officiating minister being Rev. Alex J. Abbott. The
bride was attended by Miss Gladys B. Rickard of Fairchild, and Amer
A. Funk, brother of the groom, was best man. Immediately after
the ceremony the happy couple returned to the Mayo home, where the
wedding supper was served. They left on the evening train for
Chicago, where they visited the sisters of the bride, and later
going to Milwaukee, where they will reside. The wedding of
these two exemplary young people united to of the well known and
greatly respected families of Houghtonburg. The bride has grown to
young womanhood here and is popular in a large circle of young
friends, both in the village and in the country. The groom has
spent his youth and early manhood in the vicinity. He served some
time with the aviation corps at Waco, and of late has been employed
in the Cream City. We join with a host of friends in wishing them a
long, happy and prosperous married life. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
