Frank Stallard Dies at Washington Home

Relatives of Frank M. Stallard recently received word of his sudden death at Lynden, Washington, Tuesday, January 16th. He was born January 30, 1864, at Kingston, Wis., to John T. and Elizabeth Wilson Stallard, the third child of a family of four sons and two daughters, and had attainted the age of 81 years, lacking a few days, at the time of his death.

When he was two years of age, the family moved to Humbird, where they homesteaded a farm three miles north west of the village. There he grew to young manhood. He was united in marriage with Delia Bills, and resided in Humbird, until 1912, when they moved to Lynden, Wash. He united with the Methodist church many years ago, and was an active member, holding official positions in both the church and Sunday school while here. While residing in Humbird he assisted as clerk in his brother's store. He was a member of the school board for several years, took an active part in all community activities and his pleasing and jovial manner won him a host of friends.

Mr. Stallard is survived by his wife and their four children: Koral, Mrs. Al. Stoddard, of Bellingham, Wash.; Mabel, Mrs. H. A. Stuve, of Owen; Iva, Mrs. L. N. Rezin, of Wisconsin Rapids; and Kingsley, of Lynden, Wash.

He is also survived by one brother, John E., of Madison; two sisters, Mrs. F. A. Shute, of Altoona, and Mrs. A. S. Huyck, of Duluth: twenty grandchildren, two great grandchildren, besides many other relatives and friends. Two brothers, Henry and Burton, preceded him in death.

Mrs. Stuve and Mrs. Rezin left immediately for Lynden upon receipt of the message of his death. Word has not been received of the date the funeral was held.

Mr. Stallard made three visits back to Wisconsin, the last of which was five years ago when he and Mrs. Stallard spent several weeks renewing old acquaintances and enjoying the association with their many relatives.
