Buswell, Rev James O., Sr. (?1863 - 1922)

The Milwaukee papers report the death of Rev. James O. Buswell at Brooklyn, aged 56 years. Mr. Buswell will be remembered as the pastor of the Congregational church here soon after its organization. After leaving Neillsville he became affiliated with the Presbyterian church and was pastor in several cities of Wisconsin, later in Minneapolis. A year ago he was called to the pastorate of a church in Brooklyn, N.Y. He is survived by his wife and four sons: Prof. Arthur Buswell, of the chemistry department-University of Illinois, Dr. Calvin D. Buswell, medical missionary in Northern China, Rev. James O. Buswell, Jr., of Milwaukee, and Karl P. Buswell, instructor in Botany in Canton Christian College, Canton, China.

Funeral services were held in Milwaukee at which Rev. J.O. Buswell, Jr., officiated. Burial took place at Waukesha.
