Ziebell, Gertrude (Marriage - 8 April 1922)

Mr. Irvin Gilbertson and Miss Gertrude Ziebell were quietly married Saturday, April 8, at the Methodist parsonage in this city, Rev. W. T. Scott, officiating. They were attended by Mr. Clarence Christianson and Miss Esther Anderson. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Ziebell of Neillsville. She grew to womanhood here, graduated from the Neillsville High school in 1920, and has since been cashier in the Zimmerman & Sons Co., store, where she did occasional work even before she graduated. Both in school among the students, and with the public with whom she came in contact in a business way, she has won many friends. Her lady-like manner, quick intelligence and efficiency make her a general favorite. The groom’s home was formerly at Black River Falls. He came here last August with Mr. Christianson, talking over the Crandell restaurant which they ran together till about the first of January, when Mr. Gilbertson sold out and has since been traveling for the Kickbusch Grocery Co. Mr. Gilbertson has made a place for himself here in the good will of all who have met him in either a business or social way. He is active in his work, affable and pleasant to meet in every way a young man of high character.

The bride and groom took the 11:30 train after the ceremony for a visit with friends and relatives at Ft. Atkinson, Waterloo, Milwaukee and Black River Falls.
