Mayo, Verna (Marriage - 6 May 1922)
Saturday, May 6, Mr. C. Beecher Scott and Miss Verna Mayo, both of New Lisbon, were quietly married at the M. E. parsonage in this city, the groom’s father, Rev. Walter Trench Scott officiating. The young couple came by train from New Lisbon to Black River Falls and the groom’s brother Earl Scott, drove them across country to Neillsville. The marriage ceremony was performed at 6 o’clock Saturday evening and the party drove back to Black River Falls, the bride and groom returning at once to New Lisbon, where the groom is in business and the bride teaches in the schools in that city.
