Miss Cynthia M. Draheim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Draheim, and James R.
Sowieja, all of Owen, were united in a 3 p.m. ceremony December 10, 1977 at Our
Saviors Lutheran Church in Greenwood.
The bride wore a white princess style gown and carried a bouquet of red roses
and pink carnations.
Her bridesmaids were Miss Lynn Cole of Withee and Miss Susan Schindler of Owen,
and maid of honor was Tia Draheim of Owen. They wore wine colored dresses with
jackets and carried white muffs with a red rose on each.
The bridegroom’s attendants were Ricky Sowieja of Owen as best man, and
groomsmen, Terry German of Withee and Dale Lindenberg, Stevens Point. Dave Gosse
of Greenwood and Greg Kallberg, Owen were ushers.
A dance at Curtiss Hall followed the ceremony.
The bride is a 1976 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and graduated as a
medical clerk-typist from District I Technical Institute, Eau Claire. She is
employed by ITT in Thorp. Her husband, a 1975 graduate of Owen-Withee High
School, works at Holt Feed Mill in Abbotsford.
