Wilcox - The Wilcox reporter has been lazy or late, but has shaken off that harness and will endeavor to make up for last time. Mr. and Mrs. George Rowe, of Loyal, were guests of Mrs. Rowe's parents Sunday. The general store at the Center has changed hands. A. Benedict has bought the same of G. W. Smith. A farewell party was given to G. W. Smith and family last week, Monday evening. Some young folks were down from Loyal and all present enjoyed themselves immensely. During the electric storm Sunday morning, lightning struck H. A. King's barn and killed one horse and injured another quite badly. George Gardner has rented the Livingston farm for one year. Mrs. Alice Bennett, of Fond du Lac County, is visiting relatives in this community. G. W. Smith has moved his family to Christie for an indefinite period of time. He May locate at Abbottsford. Miss Mattie Gibson came up from Fond du Lac County last week to attend the Graves - Winn wedding. Amos Fulwiler made a trip to Neillsville Monday. John Klinke's auction sale was well attended and the cows we are told, sold very high.
