Renne, Curtis (20 OCT 1868 - 19 May 1921)

Curtis Renne died of apoplexy at his home at Veefkind, Clark County, Wis., May 19, 1921, at the age of 52 years and 7 months.

He was born at Granton, Clark County Oct. 20, 1868. Here he lived with his parents until at the age of sixteen years he moved with them to Veefkind. In the year 1892 he married Elizabeth Stevens. Nineteen years ago he bought a farm near the George Fisher factory, where he spent 14 years, after which he moved with his family to the old home of his parents. Here he lived the last 5 years of his life.

Mr. Renne was a man of high ideals and lived a conscious Christian life since his conversion seventeen years ago. He will be greatly missed in the community and in the church of which he was an active worker.

He leaves to mourn his loss his wife, 5 children, namely Mrs. Art Brown, Harley; Fern, Bernice and Warren; 1 grandchild, besides four brothers, Wilson and John of Superior, Clyde of Wis. Rapids and Harry at home, and one sister, Mrs. Kate McTavish of Nasonville.

The funeral was held at Veefkind Sunday May 22, Rev. Perkins officiating, and interment was made at the Veefkind Cemetery.

Those who attended the funeral from away were Ed Renne and Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Renne and son of Wis. Rapids, John and Wilson Renne from Superior, Mr. and Mrs. Warren Nason, Mr. and Mrs. Russ Renne, Mr. and Mrs. McTavish and Mr. Carl Renne of Nasonville, Mr. and Mrs. Bairel of Nekoosa and Mr. and Mrs. L. Stevens, Mrs. Mabel Welch and two daughters from Granton and Mrs. Emma Stevens of Auburndale.
