Canfield, Robert Wash (? - 24 June 1922)
The news came to friends here that Robert Wash Canfield died at his home in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Saturday night, June 24th. Mr. Canfield was formerly one of our best known citizens. For many years he lived on his farm in Levis, and was also engaged in logging business. For some time before leaving he did quite an extensive real estate business. He was prominent in town affairs, served on the county board and was leader in county politics as a member of the Democratic party. Mr. Canfield was a man of keen intelligence, had read widely and was fearless and outspoken in his views. For many years, Wash Canfield, as he was locally known was identified with most of the activities in Clark County.
He is survived by his wife and three sons, Leon, Clare and Donovan. Funeral services were held at his home in Tulsa Sunday and burial took place later at Clairemore, Oklahoma, where deceased lived most of the time since he moved from here.
