Mrs. Dudley J. Spaulding of Black River Falls died at her home in that city June 20, aged 84 years and 6 months. She was born in Toronto, Canada, and came to the Falls in 1856 to visit her sister, Mrs. Wm. T. Price, and that next year married Dudley J. Spaulding, who became one of the larges operators in lumbering on Black River, and was well known throughout this community.

Deceased was for many years a member of the M. E. Church and an active worker therein. She leaves one son and four daughters.
