12/01/1921 Wilson, Clara (4
JUL 1853 - 23 NOV 1921) Mrs. Wm. Wilson, a
well known and highly respected resident of this village (Loyal,
Clark County, Wis.), answered the final summons at her home on
Wednesday morning Nov. 23, 1921, the cause of her death being
brights disease. Clara Darton Wilson was born in Hartford, Wis.,
July 4th, 1853, and lived with her parents at Hartford
until her marriage to Wm. Wilson, which occurred in 1873.
Immediately after their marriage they went to Colorado, intending
to make that their home. After a stay of six months they decided
they liked Wisconsin better, so they returned and settled in the
town of Beaver, Clark County. They thus became pioneers in the
opening of what is now such a famous dairy county. About twenty years
ago they moved from the farm to this village, where they have since
resided. Mrs. Wilson was usually in good health until about two
years ago, when she began to fail, during the past six months her
decline was rapid, but kept about the house until her death. She
died childless but was always very devoted to her home and her
husband, and her death is mourned by many relatives and friends.
She is survived by her husband, five brothers, Albert and Arthur E.
of Loyal, William of Berthold, N.D., Henry of Los Angeles, Cal.,
Fred of Minneapolis and one sister, Mrs. Alice Ashley of
Pardeeville, Wis. The funeral
services were held at the home on Saturday at 12 o'clock, Rev. J.
H. Chatterson officiating. She was laid to rest in the family lot
in the Greenwood Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
