Markwardt, Barbara (Marriage - 5 July 1922)
Mr. Nicholas Leitsch of La Mars, Iowa and Miss Barbara Markwardt of Neillsville were married Wednesday morning, July 5, at St. Mary’s Catholic, Rev. P. Weber officiating. Mr. Henry Markwardt, a brother of the bride, was best man, and Miss Lizzie Hartung of Pine Valley was bridesmaid.
The groom is a young farmer. He has lived for the past 12 years in Iowa, and has the reputation of being a most industrious young man of excellent character. The brides is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Markwardt. She was brought up on their farm in the town of Weston where her parents lived until last fall, when they moved to Neillsville. She is a young lady of home tasted and well qualified in every way to assume the duties of her own home.
The groom recently purchased the Harch farm near the Mound north of Neillsville, and the young couple began housekeeping at once in their own home.
The Press joins with their many other friends in best wishes.
