Berens, Mary (22 OCT 1849 - 17 Feb 1922)
Mary Vogel Berens died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. J. Braun on Friday Feb. 17, 1922, after a several months illness, at the age of 72 years, 3 months and 25 days.
She was born Oct. 22, 1849 at Jefferson, Wis. In Oct. 1870 she was united in marriage to John Berens, who died May 23, 1907.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jack Salla of Marshfield, Mrs. A. J. Braun of Loyal, Clark County, Mrs. Emil Ressler, Beloit, three sons, Joe, Nick and Matt Berens of Cashton, besides other relatives and a large number of friends.
She was a devoted mother and a kind neighbor and friend, and her death will be sincerely mourned by many.
The remains were taken to Cashton, Wis., Monday and the funeral was held on Wednesday at the Catholic Church there. Interment was in the Cashton Cemetery beside her husband.
