Hazeltine, George S. (2 Jan 1841 - 22 NOV 1922)
George S. Hazeltine was born in New York State Jan. 2, 1841. He came to Dodge co. in 1856 and twenty four years later, in the year 1880, moved to the farm in the town of Sherman, where he lived until his death, which occurred Nov. 22, 1922.
On Oct. 24, 1866, he was married to Miss Hattie Reed, who died eight years ago.
He is survived by two sons and three daughters, Wellie and Roy at home, Bert of the town of Loyal, Mrs. Fred Haupt of Spokeville, Mrs. Otto Catlin of Fond du Lac, three grandchildren, one sister of Juneau Co. and one brother in California.
Mr. Hazeltine has been a resident of Clark County for forty-two years. He was a man that was strictly honest and upright in all his dealings with his fellow man, and was a good neighbor.
The funeral service was held at the home of Saturday afternoon Nov. 25th at 1 o'clock, Rev. Edwards officiating. He was laid to rest in the Loyal Cemetery.
