Priest, Ezra F. (17 OCT 1862 - 22 NOV 1922)

Ezra Fairbanks Priest died in Oshkosh Wednesday, Nov. 22, 1922, after a short illness resulting from a nervous breakdown.

Mr. Priest was born at Au Sable, N.Y., Oct. 17, 1862, and at the age of 10 years came to Clark Co. with his parents. At the age of 14 he commenced teaching school, making it a life work up to the present time. Besides being active in educational work Mr. Priest was the author of several collections of story and verse, entitled "Before a Crucifix", "In Twilight Watches", "The Divided Cross" and "Ashes to Roses."

He was married to Mary Irene Walch August 14, 1904. To this union two children were born, Evelyn Violet and Madeline Allene. Miss Evelyn is a freshman student at Ripon College.

The remains were brought here and funeral services were held at the Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon, Rev. J. H. Chatterson officiating. Interment was in the family lot in the Loyal Cemetery.
